I remember….

40 years ago the war in Vietnam ended.

I am old enough to remember our returning soldiers being cursed, ridiculed, mocked and spat upon by so many Americans as they returned from their duty.

Yet I am heartened, that we as a nation seem to have begun the process of recognizing the values of sacrifice, courage and honor displayed by these veterans.

We still have a long way to go in always recognizing honor, courage and bravery of these veterans and by individuals who hold these values dear and close to their hearts.

Let us hope that we learn from history. I remain hopeful.

Taking one day at a time, and enjoying life in the heart of Dixie. People create their own questions because they are afraid to look straight. All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don’t sit looking at it – walk. There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil.

Thanks for this…..I had two brothers that served in Vietnam, it is about time they are finally getting the respect that they deserved when they returned home.
